About Genesis
Genesis provides compassionate, trauma-informed therapy for parents and families during pregnancy, postpartum, and the early stages of parenting. She works especially well with parents who feel overwhelmed, anxious, emotionally exhausted, or stretched thin while trying to care for everyone else.
Many of the parents Genesis supports are carrying a lot — expectations from family, cultural pressures, past trauma, or the belief that they should be able to “handle it all.” Her work helps parents slow down, feel supported, and build steadiness during a season that can feel both meaningful and overwhelming.
Who Genesis Works Best With
Genesis supports:
Pregnant and postpartum parents experiencing anxiety, stress, or emotional burnout
Parents adjusting to identity changes after having a baby
Families navigating early childhood emotions, behavior, or attachment concerns
Parents raising children while managing trauma, limited support, or high expectations
Supporting parents navigating cultural expectations, intergenerational dynamics, and the pressure to stay strong for their families.
She is a strong fit for parents who want care that is respectful, culturally responsive, and focused on real-life family dynamics — not blame or quick fixes.
Genesis’s Approach
Genesis’s approach is warm, steady, and collaborative. She integrates EMDR, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and the Positive Parenting Program (Triple P) to support both parental emotional regulation and child development.
Her work focuses on:
Reducing anxiety and emotional overwhelm
Strengthening the parent–child relationship
Building practical tools parents can actually use at home
Helping parents respond with more confidence and calm
Genesis understands that when parents feel supported, children benefit too.
What You Can Expect
Parents working with Genesis often experience:
Less guilt, stress, and emotional reactivity
Greater confidence in their parenting
Improved emotional regulation for both parent and child
A stronger sense of connection within the family
Genesis believes healing happens when parents feel understood, respected, and supported — especially during the perinatal period.
