Meet Libby Coufal, ACSW
Compassionate. Supportive. Collaborative.
About Me
I believe therapy should feel like an invitation — a safe, compassionate space where your most authentic self can emerge, without fear, without judgment.
My approach is rooted in deep curiosity, collaboration, and mind-body connection. Together, we’ll gently explore the patterns and pain that have shaped you — while also building the skills and resilience you need for everyday life.
Clients often tell me they feel truly seen, deeply heard, and supported in putting language to experiences that once felt overwhelming or hard to name.
Here, you don't have to have it all figured out — you just have to be willing to start.
Before becoming a therapist, I was trained in equine-assisted psychotherapy — an experiential, somatic therapy partnering with horses and donkeys to help heal trauma. I bring that same body-centered, relational sensitivity into the therapy room today.
I’m committed to cultural humility, inclusivity, and creating a therapy space where you feel genuinely respected, supported, and safe.
“Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can.”
Who I Work Best With
I specialize in working with adults and young adults navigating moments of profound transition — those times when anxiety, disconnection, and old patterns rise up and you find yourself wondering who you are becoming.
My areas of focus include:
Young adults experiencing anxiety, people-pleasing, and perfectionism
Women navigating late ADHD diagnoses, attachment trauma, and relational challenges
Individuals recovering from emotional neglect or growing up with emotionally immature parents
Perinatal clients adjusting to pregnancy, postpartum, and parenthood transitions
You might be feeling disconnected from your true self, stuck in old relational patterns, or overwhelmed by anxiety after a major life shift. If so, you’re not alone — and you don't have to find your way back alone either.

My Approach
Therapy with me is a collaborative, nonjudgmental space for growth — at your pace, in your way.
I integrate:
Somatic and nervous system regulation work
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
Narrative and parts work (exploring the many parts that make you whole)
Relational and psychodynamic approaches to deepen understanding and healing
Through our work, you can expect to:
Build greater emotional regulation and nervous system resilience
Develop a more compassionate, trusting relationship with yourself
Understand and shift relational patterns that no longer serve you
Feel more connected to your authentic self through life’s transitions
Together, we'll strengthen your connection to your emotions, body, and sense of self — not by forcing change, but by fostering curiosity, self-compassion, and trust.
